10 subjects policy-What a crap?

I was really infuriated when I was reading the news that Malaysian students will not be allowed to take more than 10 subjects for SPM. To me, it is more of a shock rather than a welcome response. The sole reason give is that it will be easier to determine who should get the scholarship when assessing the requirement. I am totally stunned by this move. Why restricts people's wish to take as many subjects as they like? Isn't is just a matter of restricting people's freedom? Some people will feel more comfortable in taking an additional subject, outside their streamline. Take for an example,me.
I chose to do science stream because I felt that my secondary school practises(still practising it) favouritism. They allocate the best teachers to nurtures the students from science stream. I personally feel unfair. That's why I choose to study Science stream. Besides, my school did not allow any student to take combinations like 2 science subjects and one art subject. I hate it as this is my prefered choice of studying in my higher level secondary. Well, physics to me does not sound logical no matter how hard and piss off my friends try to convince me. In the end, I have no choice but to forgo my Friday afternoons to attend Accounting tuition. I like the teacher,Mr Bong. He is very nice and knowledgeable. Not to say that my previous tuition teacher is not good,it's just that I seem not able to answer in exams as effective in comparison. I think taking this additional subject adds variety to my course of learning. It is different and unique in its very own way.
Depriving student from learning more is not a way for the nation to progress you know!! In fact, it degrades the nation as a whole. Anyway, I am very disappointed to know that this policy has been approved by the government. Haihhh... I am utterly speechless now. (Head shaking)

Pizza Tuesday

Eating pizza for dinner has been a weekly routine lately. This culture,I should say, is embraced as the restaurant offer discount every Tuesday. On top of that, the pizza tastes great. The name of the restaurant is known as eagle boys. How funny? What has eagle boys got to do with pizza? Anyway, I have consumed pizza every tuesday for about a month now. Loving it... At least, I save my time on cooking and guess what. It only cost 4.95 each. Wonderful...

Gastronomic Bliss

If this title sounds familiar to you,the chances are you have read it somewhere is quite high. I actually took this title from a friend of mine who uses it for her picture title. Today, ladies and gentlemen, is not any other ordinary day. It is the day that sun that shines brighter than ever. Haha... Not really, it is a metaphor la... Okay, let me get straight to the point. Today is the day I cook nasi lemak. Oh my gosh, I am so talented. Although most of the ingredients come from the ready made supermarket, the taste is totally awesome. After 3 months of nasi lemak deprivation, I finally indulge in Malaysian cuisine. Yum yum. I especially love the sambal. Here are some of the photos...Enjoy your nasi lemak my dear Malaysian friends. There is no place that has the same nasi lemak in our own home country.
Blogger on a very very very happy and full day. Muahahaha.

Where do we stand?

Amidst the global recession, there is a few economic superpowers that are showing how tough they are. With economic growth rising instead of decreasing, it really speaks volume of the credibility those superpoers have. Some might say the asian century is cominng. Is it really ture?
If it really comes, does it include us? China has abundance of cheap labour resources that are tapped vigorously by every single company that wants to cut costs. Besides, with huge export yearly and still show a strong resilience in this point of the time, we should really give a bow and salute of them. However, as a neighbouring country, are we doing enough to benefit from it.
What do we have to offer in the first place? I guess we have quite a good market to begin with. Our labour resources can be categorised between highly skilled and skilled levels. But,is it enough? Why are sometimes deem the weaker one when compared to our closest rivalry? With the recent disagreement,we also lose our superiority to our country so small. Do I have so say anymore?
Well, there must be something wrong with us that do not allow us to step forward. I guess our own unique characteristics are our own weaknesses as well. Simply, we live in a multiracial country. But wait, does multiracial helps in boosting economy. Of course it does! When you travel to foreign country, take a look. I guess only Malaysia offers a place where so many races are living in a country. I supposed I can say that we live quite harmoniously together. This typical yet unique character is truly one of its kind compared to the whole world.
With so many languages spoken and cultures, people are so fascinated to have a look and visit our country I am proud to say quite a number of my peers in Australia have travelled to my home country. As I wondered,"Is it really that special?" I guess it really does. From the comments I can get, they love our beaches, shopping complexes and definitely the cuisine.
With these comments bare in mind, the equation is relatively simple for us to figure it our. But with good planning is never sufficient. Historically, our plan sounds so great and perfect that constantly it ends up being just plain silly. It is the execution we need to work hard on. See our beautiful beaches. Unfortunately, the additonal views that tourists see also will defame ourselves. The filth and unhygienic attitude of our own local people shall definitely be revealed. Why is it such simple thing yet important thing is the one that let us down?
Another vital point is labour resources. In times of global information technology, whoever manage to possess the highest skilled labour will definitely have positive impact on its annual figure revenue. Malaysia has so many people and yet not fully tapped. Mind you this can be attirbuted to certain reasons that certain people can't able to let go. People have to understand. This is a world which is the survival of the fittest. If you are not on par to anywhere near there, please step down and let those who can to take up the challenge. You are just wasting the country's resources. One pertinent point is due to our lack of attention to our own people, neighbouring and some foreign countries will be happily snatch all the people from you. In the end,who loses? I wonder.
In this crucial times, we have to step up our games. If we falls far behind, you are most likely fall behind for a very long time. Please think and this is a great opportunity for change as times are hard. While people are so busy with their own things, they will not realise you have done tremendously to strengthen yourself. Be strong and come out with surprises. Only then,we shall now where we stand. Not under the superpower, but side by side as one superpower.

A day of gan cheongness

It was supposed to be a day full of breeze. I finished my assignment early yesterday. So,I anticipated a day for me to relax and rest. I woke up early, to my surprise to watch youtube. I was quite addicted to this cartoon called,"Wo men che yi chia" or can be translated to our family. I think Japanese is called atashinchi. Surprise, surprise. By the time it reached afternoon, around 2.30pm I just remembered I haven't printed my assignment and eaten my lunch. I was so gan cheong that I cook while waiting for the damn windows update because I can't use microsoft word while it is updating.
On top of that,I promised my friend to go jogging at 3pm. I quickly run to the computer lab for the printing. Then, edit a bit. Finally,hulala...I am free now. My price for procrastinating is quite heavy. While I was cooking, I was not paying much attention because I was busy checking my laptop. The fried garlic went charred. Oh my gosh... Black colour. I think part of it is my fault because I want it to be fast fast fast. I should not be so gan cheong actually. First of all,the due date is tomorrow. Secondly, I can eat my lunch later also. I don't know why I am in such a mess sometimes. Must be my attitude to finish every fast although I like to procrastinate initially. Huhu....
The moral of the story is take it easy... I think I never heard the word "rilek" for a very long time already. That could be a reason. And also, I found out today that if you eat a Fuji apple when you are calm and relax, it tastes sweeter. haha.... Serious,no joke. Adios
blogger on a very gan cheong day.

I am completely blank

I have few things to do for this week. Statistics test is this friday and commercial law assignment's due date is next monday. I feel a bit blank. Don't know why I feel this way. Homesick I guess. Feeling a little restless these days. Must be the weather. Making me feel drowsy and sleepy all the time. I did revise a bit but then feel very boring lar. I have been doing mathematics for so long. Can't even stop doing it for a moment. Well, I think it is not really beneficial lor,but need to execute it well. I need a drive sometimes do things. There are only two ways I do things. The best or don't do at all. Plus, there is always another tomorrow to begin with. I should be doing more revision now. Will try until my eyes cannot take it anymore... sleepy...

A smile on the face

Today is quite a surprising day. I have gone to review my previous law test paper. As this paper was badly attempted,so I decided to give a go what went wrong. When reading the paper, I noticed some mistakes here and there. I was like,"Ohhh" all the time. What surprises me was at the end of the paper. There was a comment written in pencil that states,"Beautiful handwriting". I almost laugh out at the moment. What kind of comment is this? No extra mark given for beautiful handwriting anyway. Kind of glad though that at least I have a good comment. Haha... I was smiling all the way when coming back home. Indeed, a simple pleasure to brighten up my day. Haha...Till then

Cookies

It has been quite some time I learn cooking. Hence, I want to show off my new recipes that I have learnt during this time. Haha... Not really show off, but to display my results. Since the last picture of my cooking was received with much criticisms from friends alike, I feel the urge to redeem my dignity. Muahaha... It looks really delicious. I give my word for it that they taste nice and some only acceptable. Please bear with my wording because I have uploaded new background so, I can't really comment below the pictures.
The first and foremost will be sardines and fried egg. Although it looks a bit ordinary, it is better than going with an empty stomach. Well, it is relatively easy to cook too. Second would be the tomato fried rice. Tasty and it consists of combinations. I simply love to rojak everything when it comes to fried rice. This rojak gives my fried rice a special theme of itself. Haha...originality accounts for some marks right?
Third will be the wantan mee. My friend taught me how to do this. Very simple. Simply rebus(I can't find any english for it,pai seh!) the noodles and mix it with soya sauce, taste exactly like the taste I like. Hehe... I should really say this is a success of all my food. Put some chilli sambal to compliment this wantan mee and it will be great. Love it.Yah,not to forget, the mee was eaten with supplementary ABC soup. Although this is leftover from previous night, it still consisted the same taste. Well, better don't waste food ma. I feel very bad if I waste any of them. Yum yum...
Forth would be my frying theme. This is chicken breast snitzel. Crunchy and crispy. Absolute well fried for this one. Plus a bit mayonaisse(is this the right spelling?), it will taste fantastic. Besides, the top part is chicken nuggets with black pepper and salt.
Last but not least, my meal for tonight is sardines plus fried luncheon meat. Actually luncheon meat will taste better if fry with onion. Still, I still have a full stomach at the end of the day.
Ohhh...I forget to say the most important in the world which is "Happy Mother's Day!" everyone. Hope that you have a great time with your mums. And to my mum too," You rock!". Cheers....

What goes around,comes around

I really do believe in when you do something good,it will come back to you one way or other. The same applies to the opposite to you. So,in conjunction with my belief, I have dedicated my 20 minutes today to help my housemates to clean their dishes. Actually, the dishes have been left there for a few days. I could not be bother to look at the dishes. Out of sudden, I helped them to wash. Haha...Maybe, I have a good mood today for no apparent reason. Perhaps, something my mum told me before I came to Australia gave me a ring in the bell at that time. She asked me to be more cincai which includes doing others some favour. I don't mind washing but I will do it when I am free lar.
By the way, one of my housemates is kind enough to borrow me her cutlery and pot and pans to cook when I initially I came here. Thus, I feel an obligation to help her back occasionally. Well, is this what goes around, comes around means? Or am I plainly feeling guilty for using her pots and pans. Haha... Well, either way makes me a little happier too. This is what I call simple pleasure in life: helping others.
Cheers,
A day of being a helper :)

Time to reorganise

After a badly attempted test, I have known quite well that the previous test will be quite bad. I am not sure whether it is a C+ or B- . Well, both don't seem to sound good right. This commercial law paper is real hard,as confirmed by my seniors. For the first 2 minutes, I completely blanked out during that moment. Forgot what happened and to reread the question twice did make the whole thing worse. I think I kind of panic as I saw my neighbours were doing so fast and vigourously. Not their faults, they came in more prepared than I was. That's all I guess.
Then, upcoming task will be the case analysis assignment. The name itself does send people's spines with shiver. Let me explain what is it about. Apparently, you have to study a case which has been brought to court. Read it and come out with your opinion with support to it. Well, the thought of opposing the judge's decision seems daunting, but well since that is what is supposed from us, I guess I might as well give it a try. I think my eyes will go @_@ by next week. Previously in SAM Matriculation, it took me almost half year to complete an assignment like this and this time, I am expected to complete in 2 weeks minus away Monday and today due to the library workshop being conducted today to assist us in finding resources.
I have been very active in Facebook recently. Time to cut down the time to focus my Commercial Law subject to redeem my slack performance last time. Hmmm.... Sounds like a challenge. Though I love to read law, but the tonnes of reading will make me sick. I can confirm that I am not a memory regurgitator(does such word exist?). All I can say is that: My best is all I can give. No more than that please..... I need my sleep.

Explore and you shall see

It is by plain coincident that I found out something useful today. As I was rather bored,I spotted my handphone box in my cupboard. Therefore, I decided to rummage through what is it inside ever since I used my phone. To my amazement, there is an usb port that can be connected to my handphone to charge my phone. How wonderful! I am so forgetful all the time to charge the phone. SInce now I have this new cable, I think it is awesome. Shall not forget anymore after much complain from my friends as I always never pick up the phone because I forget to charge. Haha..
Hopeful this incident will happen no more. I think this discovery speaks volume of something more important. In life, it is very beneficial if we try something we never use to it before. Try doesn't mean we must be successful. If fail,we can just try again until we are successful. Life is too short to worry about what will happen if something goes wrong. A friend of mine told me I am always different of other peopke as in more adventurous. Of course I am. To me, I deem life as an adventure. There is no end until you say so. If one day I die, I want to die when I have tried anything I wanted. Although it might not be complete, at least I have try my very best and I hope I will die, smiling. People say I am crazy. Yeah, soemtimes I think yeah. Maybe I agree on that too because I believe people who say themselves are crazy might not be crazy after all.

I must be crazy

This is the first 1 hour and a half after my economics mid-semester exam. I think the questions are quite tough. The weird thing is I like the feeling of it. As I know that I will be rushing like hell for this exam. I love the feeling of my adrenaline rushing of my whole body. I think I must be crazy. My friends were a bit worried as this is the toughest examination so far. To me, I think challenging questions are good. It pushes me to strive harder next time. At least now I love economics. But I love economics all this while just that the thought of memorising makes me wanna sleep all the time. Now,it involves calculations, theories and challenge. Time is a vital factor. And these combinations make me love economics more. May consider taking econometrics as major. Well, examinations are meant to be tough. No one should be scared as I hope that in the end of the degree, I hope I learn something useful. Even it involves challenging questions, I will be working harder for it. A good expression will be " Lai la!"
