I was really infuriated when I was reading the news that Malaysian students will not be allowed to take more than 10 subjects for SPM. To me, it is more of a shock rather than a welcome response. The sole reason give is that it will be easier to determine who should get the scholarship when assessing the requirement. I am totally stunned by this move. Why restricts people's wish to take as many subjects as they like? Isn't is just a matter of restricting people's freedom? Some people will feel more comfortable in taking an additional subject, outside their streamline. Take for an example,me.
I chose to do science stream because I felt that my secondary school practises(still practising it) favouritism. They allocate the best teachers to nurtures the students from science stream. I personally feel unfair. That's why I choose to study Science stream. Besides, my school did not allow any student to take combinations like 2 science subjects and one art subject. I hate it as this is my prefered choice of studying in my higher level secondary. Well, physics to me does not sound logical no matter how hard and piss off my friends try to convince me. In the end, I have no choice but to forgo my Friday afternoons to attend Accounting tuition. I like the teacher,Mr Bong. He is very nice and knowledgeable. Not to say that my previous tuition teacher is not good,it's just that I seem not able to answer in exams as effective in comparison. I think taking this additional subject adds variety to my course of learning. It is different and unique in its very own way.
Depriving student from learning more is not a way for the nation to progress you know!! In fact, it degrades the nation as a whole. Anyway, I am very disappointed to know that this policy has been approved by the government. Haihhh... I am utterly speechless now. (Head shaking)

Pizza Tuesday
Eating pizza for dinner has been a weekly routine lately. This culture,I should say, is embraced as the restaurant offer discount every Tuesday. On top of that, the pizza tastes great. The name of the restaurant is known as eagle boys. How funny? What has eagle boys got to do with pizza? Anyway, I have consumed pizza every tuesday for about a month now. Loving it... At least, I save my time on cooking and guess what. It only cost 4.95 each. Wonderful...

Gastronomic Bliss

If this title sounds familiar to you,the chances are you have read it somewhere is quite high. I actually took this title from a friend of mine who uses it for her picture title. Today, ladies and gentlemen, is not any other ordinary day. It is the day that sun that shines brighter than ever. Haha... Not really, it is a metaphor la... Okay, let me get straight to the point. Today is the day I cook nasi lemak. Oh my gosh, I am so talented. Although most of the ingredients come from the ready made supermarket, the taste is totally awesome. After 3 months of nasi lemak deprivation, I finally indulge in Malaysian cuisine. Yum yum. I especially love the sambal. Here are some of the photos...Enjoy your nasi lemak my dear Malaysian friends. There is no place that has the same nasi lemak in our own home country.
Blogger on a very very very happy and full day. Muahahaha.

Where do we stand?
Amidst the global recession, there is a few economic superpowers that are showing how tough they are. With economic growth rising instead of decreasing, it really speaks volume of the credibility those superpoers have. Some might say the asian century is cominng. Is it really ture?
If it really comes, does it include us? China has abundance of cheap labour resources that are tapped vigorously by every single company that wants to cut costs. Besides, with huge export yearly and still show a strong resilience in this point of the time, we should really give a bow and salute of them. However, as a neighbouring country, are we doing enough to benefit from it.
What do we have to offer in the first place? I guess we have quite a good market to begin with. Our labour resources can be categorised between highly skilled and skilled levels. But,is it enough? Why are sometimes deem the weaker one when compared to our closest rivalry? With the recent disagreement,we also lose our superiority to our country so small. Do I have so say anymore?
Well, there must be something wrong with us that do not allow us to step forward. I guess our own unique characteristics are our own weaknesses as well. Simply, we live in a multiracial country. But wait, does multiracial helps in boosting economy. Of course it does! When you travel to foreign country, take a look. I guess only Malaysia offers a place where so many races are living in a country. I supposed I can say that we live quite harmoniously together. This typical yet unique character is truly one of its kind compared to the whole world.
With so many languages spoken and cultures, people are so fascinated to have a look and visit our country I am proud to say quite a number of my peers in Australia have travelled to my home country. As I wondered,"Is it really that special?" I guess it really does. From the comments I can get, they love our beaches, shopping complexes and definitely the cuisine.
With these comments bare in mind, the equation is relatively simple for us to figure it our. But with good planning is never sufficient. Historically, our plan sounds so great and perfect that constantly it ends up being just plain silly. It is the execution we need to work hard on. See our beautiful beaches. Unfortunately, the additonal views that tourists see also will defame ourselves. The filth and unhygienic attitude of our own local people shall definitely be revealed. Why is it such simple thing yet important thing is the one that let us down?
Another vital point is labour resources. In times of global information technology, whoever manage to possess the highest skilled labour will definitely have positive impact on its annual figure revenue. Malaysia has so many people and yet not fully tapped. Mind you this can be attirbuted to certain reasons that certain people can't able to let go. People have to understand. This is a world which is the survival of the fittest. If you are not on par to anywhere near there, please step down and let those who can to take up the challenge. You are just wasting the country's resources. One pertinent point is due to our lack of attention to our own people, neighbouring and some foreign countries will be happily snatch all the people from you. In the end,who loses? I wonder.
In this crucial times, we have to step up our games. If we falls far behind, you are most likely fall behind for a very long time. Please think and this is a great opportunity for change as times are hard. While people are so busy with their own things, they will not realise you have done tremendously to strengthen yourself. Be strong and come out with surprises. Only then,we shall now where we stand. Not under the superpower, but side by side as one superpower.

A day of gan cheongness
It was supposed to be a day full of breeze. I finished my assignment early yesterday. So,I anticipated a day for me to relax and rest. I woke up early, to my surprise to watch youtube. I was quite addicted to this cartoon called,"Wo men che yi chia" or can be translated to our family. I think Japanese is called atashinchi. Surprise, surprise. By the time it reached afternoon, around 2.30pm I just remembered I haven't printed my assignment and eaten my lunch. I was so gan cheong that I cook while waiting for the damn windows update because I can't use microsoft word while it is updating.
On top of that,I promised my friend to go jogging at 3pm. I quickly run to the computer lab for the printing. Then, edit a bit. Finally,hulala...I am free now. My price for procrastinating is quite heavy. While I was cooking, I was not paying much attention because I was busy checking my laptop. The fried garlic went charred. Oh my gosh... Black colour. I think part of it is my fault because I want it to be fast fast fast. I should not be so gan cheong actually. First of all,the due date is tomorrow. Secondly, I can eat my lunch later also. I don't know why I am in such a mess sometimes. Must be my attitude to finish every fast although I like to procrastinate initially. Huhu....
The moral of the story is take it easy... I think I never heard the word "rilek" for a very long time already. That could be a reason. And also, I found out today that if you eat a Fuji apple when you are calm and relax, it tastes sweeter. haha.... Serious,no joke. Adios
