Culinary skills put to test

Did I ever mention that cooking is never once struck to my mind of something I have to do for the past 19 years? Haha...The reason lies on my possesion of a loving sister and caring mum. Never once I have to cook for the family or any sort. I did help but it is just merely chopping the vegetables. I can't differentiate which veg is which for goodness sake. Thus, when the idea of cooking save u lots of money rings a bell in my mind... hmmm. I should start learning.
My mum is very helpful considering the fact I was so eager to learn. But it was my sis who taught me to cook spagetthi and later on pork porridge by my mum. Since the cooking lesson is a crash course, I didn't really practise first in Malaysia. I just equipped myself with tips and guidance from the calls I constantly made home. For a first timer, I think I did excellently well. Not to bad I guess. Nothing went charred. The taste is in fact nice. Hehe... At least everything taste the same my sister cook. Haha....seriously,no bragging and boasting at all(*wink*wink).
Unfortunately, I am not really good in deep frying though. I always push away this responsibility to my neighbour, pei jin who has tonnes of experience in frying. So, I just sit back and watch. I was thinking,"It was not really that hard, isn't it?" My decision is final. The feeling of trying something new is exhilarating. To avoid any embarrassment,I cooked it alone yesterday. I know my strong point though which is seasoning. I know how to estimate amount of sugar, salt and soya sauce needed in marinating. Not bad right?? Seasoning is very very important you know. even if you fry well, without seasoning, your food is gonna taste so bland. Yah,right! So much of emphasising my strong point only. Wakaka....Well,self praise is better than no praise right? So,here goes.

Happy Easter Holiday

This year I am celebrating good friday in Sydney which is kind of different. I attended the church last year if I were not mistaken. I am not a Christian actually, not to offend anyone but I attend this Good Friday's celebration with the intention to accompany my grandma and auntie there(see, I am being such a good and obedient grandson and nephew). The crowd would start to gather outside the church around 7am in the morning. WOW! So you can imagine how early I woke up at that time. Then, the people will line up and take their turns to light up the candles and kiss the toes of Jesus-like stoned statute. Sorry, I did not know what it is called. Hmmm... Everytime I attended church or temple, I can feel my heart did actually feel calm and relax. No worry and because of that, I love going to these praying places a lot. Though it may seem weird, I do believe religion is a very powerful thing or abstract I should says. Nothing can be used to describe religion no matter how hard you try. You may say it is a belief or principle, but you can't really put it in other words that is explanatory.
To have so much differences in this world is actually very remarkable to me. You have christianity, buddhism, hinduism, protestants, islam, taoism and a whole lots of other. No matter what religion you are, these religions do emphasis on bringing out the best of every individual. You have to be good, trust and most importantly have faith. I am very opionated when it comes to religion. One thing for me to believe is no religion is a bad religion. Second, all religions have good intention. Thus, it doesn't matter who you are, the most important matter is you are a good person. Then, there are some people who are free thinkers. What about them? They are people who have no religion. I was actually kind of SURPRISED( see,I bolded the word, not shocked, but surprised) to know a person who has no religion. For me,it is alright to have no relgion. In fact, some free thinkers behave even better than those who have religion. As a matter of fact, do not be so proud of yourself and look down on others who have different belief. As never once,we are taught to look down and be proud.
Today is my first day of easter break. I hope I can make this holiday a joyous and memorable one. Do some good deeds and be merry. And please please please don't forget to indugle yourself to your chocolate addiction! (one perfect reason to let loose fo yourself)
Love you all,
Chee Seng

Freaky Monday

It is very weird on every Monday. My adrenaline will get pumping. I think a few reasons can be attributed to my sudden hike in energy level. One, I love uni life (haha, i am lying). I actually have just two reasons. First of all, I have four classes to attend on Monday which is kind of hectic. Assuming that I have already anticipate days are going to be busy, I guess my body has accustomed itself to be energy boosting on Monday.. Haha... I have a two-hour economics lecture which I have found so boring in the beginning but now it gets better as I can meet "Mr Bean" every Monday... Hehe... His name is aso very unique, sounded like a famous artist, Pablo. Next there is this pass thingy and follow by a commercial law that always never fail to send me into a state between reality and dream.
Finally, another good reason I should say will be due to a quiz for accounts tutorial. I get very tensed up for this stupid quiz which is just 5% of my final semester grade. I get very scared that I will oversleep and missed the tutorial. What the hell... I am so gan cheong for the minor stuff that even for my previous test which accounted for 15%, I am not as gan cheong as every Monday. I think something must be wrong with me. Stay cool for the big thing but worry for the small stuff. It is so ming boggling this accounts quiz. Hope it goes away eventually. That's all... My typical Monday on a foreign land......

Hope for the best...

All my friends are beginning to leave my old, sweet hometown Melaka. Oh my gosh, I should not say Melaka as old. It is very progressive and currently trying its best to boost tourism. But still, the fact remains that everyone who heard of Melaka is most likely be reminded of historical sites does justify my reason for calling it old. Haha...
Back to my topic, today, my former classmate but current sun you friend is continuing his journey to study medicine. All the best and best of luck. This friend of mine is very funny. It is hilarious to call him fei de all the time although I personally din call him that before. "Since I din say that before, too late to regret now" He will be flying to India now from Malaysia. As far as I can remember, he is a happy go lucky friend. Hehe Haha all the time. With kee chean around, this combination never left the class silent even for one day. I truly missed the old times. Carefree and joyous all the while.
All my other friends are complaining why all people are leaving Melaka. I believe it is for a good cause. With abundance of opportunities awaiting us, why should we not grab it? Take this time to upgrade ourselves with wisdom and courage. Hopefully one day we will finally be matured and knowledgeable individuals. After all, everyone wants to be someone one day, don't we?
Unfortunately, what concerns me the most is will there be anyone left in Malaysia when I go back the next time? I think there should be two more sun yous in KL, a few in Melaka and a few dunno where. Haha... The event that I always looking forward to is chinese new year. will it be as merry next year? will they come back. well, who knows? I guess the adage of absence makes the heart grows fonder is particularly true after all. Well, I don't want to end up teary eyed,it's just that it is memorable reminiscing good, happy times together. It is hard nowadays to find such friends around. Even if you find new ones, the feel is just different. I don't know what am i doing here not sleeping since tomorrow I have a test. Better sleep early. My point is we should hope hard that one day we will meet once again. Maybe in different perspectives but still cling to the title as best friends. Adious.

Someone...

Amused to find that I blog very frequent now which is like once everday. Not that I am free, it is just that I love to express whatever I have in mind on something. I just received a few similar emails entitled "You are everything to somebody". Hence, it strucks my mind do I really have such a significant impact on someone.
Even at times you are busy, free, happy, sad, crazy or just being plain boring, do you have ever really think what you really want to leave behind one day after you left this world. I am not being pessimistic here, I am just being realistic. Have you touched someone that he or she thinks you have saved his or her life? Or have you leave behind a sweet memory to someone that everytime they think of you, they can smile.
I used to think one day, I am going to leave a happy memory to everyone who has crossed their paths with me. Yup, as far as my memory doesn't fail, I think bringing laughters to people's lives is a very good motive to have. I love to laugh and my friends have unanimously given me credit for having the loudest in class! Oh my gosh. Even in cinema, my friends said they can hear my laughter too even when everyone is laughing. But I do think it is a gift so stop being so jealous of me! I guess I should be someone who laughs like nobody else. Come and join me to make this world a better place to live in.
